Biography
The story of Viv Virex is one that is constantly growing and changing, but it started long before she was born in the way that she is now. Once she was known as Seleme of the Kha tribe of the Azim steppe. a wanderer from her inception, Seleme was a kind soul that dabbled in black magics learned from the various tribes of beasts that she dealt with. She fell one fateful night protecting her best friend, Akhonur, a Dotharl warrior. Seleme's soul burned bright in that moment and per the tradition of the Dotharl, she was reborn as one of them.
Her rebirth, however, was fraught with complications as her parents pursued a traitor to their tribe into Doma. They were dispatched and Seleme was orphaned, renamed Akane Umiji by her adopted family, she began a new life, unaware of her past aside from persistent dreams and waves of unexplained emotion.
Akane fled doma to avoid the occupation of the garlean empire to the ruby sea where she joined the confederacy. She was a quick study when it came to learning the ways of a shinobi from a new friend name Mozu Hirigashi. This friendship would be short lived however, because as Akane's bounty grew, so did Mozu's desire to collect on it grew. Akane fled once more after a fight with Mozu that left her injured and without the use of her left eye.
scared and weak, she made her way to Hingashi where she wandered until she met a man that went only by the name Yukimara. She formed a bond with the elder and he trained her in the ways of bushido, the warrior's code. She became a ronin, a wandering samurai that followed her master where he wandered until his dying day.
consumed by grief, akane buried her master on the ruby sea. She took the name Viv Virex, a name of her own creation, and made sail westward to eorzea where her story lives on.
